Posts: 1,949 Group: Admins Member #1 Joined: Jun 3, 2009 Gender: Male Location: Dublin	On the field. Centre midfield is our main problem and I've said it for a coupld of years now. Carrick just isn't up the the standard andHargreves is never fit. We need atleast one other class CM in there.

Posts: 14 Group: Members Member #47 Joined: Jul 23, 2009	We are only 4 players away in my opinion from been right up there A world class keeper A dominant cb A physical presence alongside cesc Also another striker I will wait and see what Vermulan is all about but I have faith in Johan to improve but Toure imo is finished.Gallas has improved and the pressure of the captaincy has been lifted. For me Denilson is not good enough for us to challenge for the major honours. Cesc has no faith in him imo and he has no presense, there are very few players that can come in and dominant in the center of the park but we need to find one and quickly

Kanemi and Asenjo from what I heard were top class and one went for little money and the other was out of contract this season. Missed out on both. I am not sure what sort of CB Verm is but I have heard he is that sort of CB although he is not as tall as most CB's. CM I am one of Denilsons biggest fans and he imporved so much last season. He did well and I think he and Fabregas could work, Fabregas would have to do a bit of defending though. We have been linked with that French guy a lot recently. As for a striker I don't think we do, we have Arshavin who can play behind RVP or Eduardo when one is injured and we also have Bedntner, Walcott and Vela.

Posts: 14 Group: Members Member #47 Joined: Jul 23, 2009	Matatudi is the guy we were linker with(cant spell his name) for the keeper I wanted Lopez at the start of last season he is top class.Doing a bit of defending shouldnt be cesc role though it takes away from his genius I think we should bring back Flamini or bring in Yaya to do the defending for us As far as a striker goes I agree its not really essentel as I think Jay Simpson could be good for us

I agree but Denilson was actually a good all winner last season and he made a lot of interceptions. I would love nothing more than for us to bring Flamini back but I am sure its not going to happen. Yaya signed a one year extension recently I think. Then again so did Melo before his move to Juve. I think Vela and Bendtner will get chances before Simpsons. I think both of them have more to their game too.

Posts: 14 Group: Members Member #47 Joined: Jul 23, 2009	Melo is awful I wouldnt go near him tbh I dont know if you agree with that or not , as far as Yaya goes Aquilani just signed an extension on his Roma conract but it looks as though he is going to liverpool so it doesnt really matter if you sign a one year contract its only to add a few million to the price. I just dont think Denilson is commanding enough tbh but I will give him another year to prove me wrong

I am just saying becuase of the one year extension and so did Yaya so a move can still happen. Not seen much of the Roma midfielder, did he play when Denilson totally bossed the midfield aggainst Roma? Probably his best game of the season. Denilson was described as a player inbetween Gilberto and Rosicky. So not sure where Wenger see's him.

When you look at Gerrard and Terry they are warriors that dont accept defeat and show no weakness and take no prisoners. If we have a night game in December away from home against the likes of Blackburn I have my doubts the likes of Denilson will stand up and be counted. How I miss Viera

I am not so sure, just becuase he doesn't throw himself into sillt tackles like Song does I think he gets unfair criticism for it.
